Black Myth: Wukong Boss Battle Strategies – Chapter 2: Sha Dalang

In “Black Myth: Wukong,” there are nearly a hundred types of bosses and demon kings, commonly referred to as elite monsters and BOSSes. These enemies have different mechanics and do not share skins, requiring players to adapt to each enemy. Below is a complete BOSS strategy guide for “Black Myth: Wukong,” hoping to assist all players. PS: The Specter is an elite version of minor monsters and does not belong to the BOSS category; it is listed under minor demons in the “Travelogue.” Therefore, this type is not included in this tutorial.  Below the entry for “King and Son of the Sand Kingdom” in the second chapter of the travelogue. 

Specific location

After defeating the Sand Kingdom King and his son, head to the cave next to the Land Temple in the Unfortunate Valley on the left side. If you spare the Sand Kingdom King, you will enter a cutscene; if you kill the Sand Kingdom King, you will use the dropped item [Sand Kingdom King’s Flesh] to summon.

Sha Dalang’s combat intensity is very low; using the set he is most familiar with is enough. 

Analysis of Techniques and Countermeasures

 The location of the second travelogue entry is below King of the Sand and Sand Erlang.

After defeating the Sand King and Sand Er Lang, head up to the top of the map to activate the Land Temple “Unfortunate Valley,” then move to the right into the cave to activate the boss battle scene with Sand Da Lang.

Shadalang is much larger than Sha Erlang. Since it has no weapons, its attack methods mainly rely on its front claws and biting. It can also roll to hit players from behind. By capturing Shadalang’s skill recovery, you can build up stick momentum. Against such a large-sized BOSS, a regular heavy stick is still very effective.

Although it shares the same attack module of front claws and biting as bosses like Lingxuzi, Shadalang can also perform a wide-range attack by swinging its tail, so this unexpected attack should still be taken into consideration.

Overall, the difficulty of fighting Sand Dalaran is very low, and you can basically get through it on your first encounter. During the battle, if you lead Sand Dalaran to crash into the rune-covered walls beside the battlefield, it will open a hidden area where you can obtain dragon scales and activate the location of a hidden boss.
