After the Sand King escapes, unlock the land shrine here.
The stone door in front of you cannot be opened for now. Investigating the small statue next to the door reveals that the Stone’s Might and Tiger’s Fang are missing. After defeating the Stone Vanguard and Tiger Vanguard later, you can obtain these two items respectively.
The road on the left is the direction the Sand King escaped, and taking this path will allow us to confront Sand Darlong and Tiger Vanguard sooner.
The road on the right leads to the Soul-Dragging Cliff, and after a long detour, it will eventually reach the places of the Sand-Throwing Great Wolf and the Tiger Vanguard.
