Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 2 Tips & Walkthrough: Yellow Wind Formation: Town Wind Gate

The level design of “Black Myth: Wukong” is quite complex, with various hidden surprises scattered throughout the map that can easily be missed if you’re not careful. Here, I will create a comprehensive exploration guide for “Black Myth: Wukong,” detailing the hidden NPC side quests, hidden levels, hidden bosses, important collectibles, and more, in conjunction with the main storyline to provide a route planning explanation. I will do my best to guide you through everything, minimizing detours and ensuring a complete narrative experience.

(This article has been streamlined as much as possible, reducing plot descriptions to minimize spoilers. However, it is difficult to avoid some spoilers when mentioning BOSS names and character names. It is recommended that you do not read the following content until you have encountered them in the game.)

Slide down the landslide and arrive at the “Yellow Wind Formation – Wind Control Gate” land temple, where the Headless One teaches you the [Spell] Body Outside Body technique, allowing you to summon multiple little monkeys.

The stone door on the right requires the Tiger’s Edge to open; first, walk straight ahead.

Move forward and defeat the Hundred-Eyed True Person to obtain the 【Essence】 of the Hundred-Eyed True Person.

Obtain the 【Luo Jia Fragrant Vine】 from the tree next to the Hundred-Eyed True Man, then continue moving forward.

After crossing the bridge, first explore the coffin on the left, then come back and walk up the stairs.

Upon climbing the stairs, I found two doors. The stone door that goes straight up is the one we encountered before with the Sand King and his son, Sand Erlang. We can only open it after defeating the Tiger Vanguard.

Turn right and open the door, and you will arrive at the road where the Sand King previously escaped, to fight Sand Dalang. (If you turn left after opening the door, you can return to the place where you fought the Sand King and his sons, which is “Sandmen Village – Bujigu.”)

After triggering Sha Dalang’s storyline by opening the door, turn right first and you’ll see a glowing jar in the wall. Take a detour to go in and break it to obtain 【Three Winter Insects】.

When fighting Sand Daluo, attract him to crash into the wall with many small Buddha statues, which can break open a crack (if you miss it, you can still use the Big Head Ghost’s essence to break the crack later). After defeating Sand Daluo, enter the crack to open the treasure chest and obtain the 【Dragon Scale】 (you can also see the mural of Sun Wukong paying respects to Bodhi Patriarch), which is the item to trigger the hidden BOSS dragon in each level.

Defeat Sha Dalang to obtain the 【Arokin Fragment】.

After defeating Sand King, loot the nearby area, then cross the small bridge and slip through the narrow gap to leave.

After slipping through the narrow gap, defeat the bat to obtain the 【Essence】 Swift Bat.

First, go ahead and break the obstacles to enter, then go to the innermost part to obtain the 【Nine-Turn Golden Elixir】 to increase your stamina limit.

Then go back and take the right path to the Tiger Rest Temple.
